I bought this for an eight year old who LOVES bugs and reptiles. She reads a couple of entries a night from this one and the Bugopedia. There is a LOT of information in these books and it's broke down in easy to read sentences and easy words to understand. Smaller children will enjoy the bright and colorful pictures. Older children will enjoy the information without having to ask too many times "What does this mean?". And even an adult with a curious child will enjoy these books as you get to explore the creepy crawlies of the world.I had a picture encyclopedia when I was a child and it was my most treasured book. And for right now, this Reptileopedia (and the Bugopedia) are her most treasured books and as long as she's satisfied with them, I am too. Next we're going to get the Oceanopedia.
Great, big book! Perfect for a child that loves reptiles. Only thing my child commented on was that some of her favorite reptiles weren't in there.
My son LOVES this book! He's really into animals, especially reptiles. He's probably read this book front to back a dozen times already. Now he's constantly telling me facts about different reptiles. I highly recommend this book to anyone that has children interested in reptiles!
I bought this for my neice and she loved it! She's nine and we had a great time reading and looking through the pictures. My nephew who is only four loves this book just as much as his sister.
