OK so here's the deal on this book. I purchased this book because I was looking for another set of practice questions for the CySA+ exam. I completed video training from Pluralsight and Udemy. Each course came with their own set of practice exams, and I had an uneasy feeling that their practice exam questions were not difficult enough. After purchasing this book, I started going through the 1000 questions and answers. I felt stupid. These questions were difficult, to say the least. I'm not complaining, however. These questions really taught me to read the questions CAREFULLY and select answers based upon reasoned logic. By the time I finished all 1000 questions and then went back through them for review, I felt completely confident to schedule my exam the next day. This book contained MANY questions on Linux, and, coming from a Microsoft background, I was unable to answer many of them, so I spent hours researching Linux commands online. Bottom lione: I scored a 788 on the exam and I don't think I could have passed without the extra practice I got from these advanced-level questions. PS: I did not get a single Linux-related security question on my exam :). I highly recommend this book to aid in your preparation for what turned out to be a very challenging exam.

I found this book to be very helpful in passing the exam (I used another book for reading). No book is perfect but I gave it a 5 because it goes above and beyond the exam. The questions provide references to tools and processes not covered on the exam but help for the real world. I believe the book should be titled with "CySA+ Exam Practice Questions and Beyond" to give the potential purchaser a better idea of what they are buying. I didn't give it a 4 because no book is perfect and I'm not going to ding it on little typos.

I passed my test on the first try. I didnâ€™t go through this entire book. I focused mainly on questions with output, logs, reports, etc. since I felt thatâ€™s where I needed the most practice. I would recommend as a great review for anyone wanting to test their knowledge before the real exam.

I used this and the sybex study guide, along with some other self study tools to pass this exam on the first try. The practice tests are messed up though. There are several errors inside that I was able to catch. Right answers with the wrong letter, wrong answers with the right letter, etc. This doesn't help when you are trying to gauge your mastery level.If you are newer to IT and unsure of the material I would skip this. If you have been around a while and can throw your "BS" flag on an erroneous answer then it is probably worth it just to drill. There are a lot of example logs/vulnerability reports to look at.If you are studying for the CySA check out the Jason Dion course on udemy. It is excellent and includes a practice exam.My experience level: 7 years in IT and I have Net+, Sec+, ITIL, and more.

The questions are very good, but there are many topics/terms that are not covered in the Sybex CySA+ study book. So, expect to get many questions wrong if you have used that as your main study guide.

The questions in the book are awesome! So hands on and real world ! Love it from the first day !

This book covers all the topic you need to know for the exam. Straightforward and easy to understand. Highly recommended.

As someone else already has mentioned, this book is probably a bit too difficult for the exam. I did have a chance to attempt this exam twice.However, I like it as it goes deep and probably more helpful in a long run as there is a lot more to learn.

I cannot think of one book that has more influence on me than Thus Spoke Zarathustra. It is a book that I once read at least once a year and it never failed to fill my mind with hope and ideas. I totally disagree with those who consider Nietzsche to be hard, stern, and without hope. I find nothing but hope in the works of Nietzsche. He deepest desire was to see humans remove the yoke of any oppressive ideologies which hindered thoughts and imagination. My initial reading of Zarathustra was very disappointing. I was not ready for the very stylized language he used but subsequent reading made me look beyond the style and see the thoughts behind them and then yielded the wisdom beneath. I make no claims to entirely understand Nietzsche but someone who dropped out before reaching high school I believe I have a fairly good grasp of his overall principles. His ideas are not so abstract that only scholars can understand them. I have now read most of his major works and consider him the single greatest influence on my own life and the perceptions of various institutions. As an atheist I was naturally drawn to his hostility towards most forms of organized religions---the exception for Nietzsche being Buddhism--but he was not grim or dour about this and always championed the "yay-saying" and discouraged the "nay-saing". His words can come across as a bit hard and cold but he felt he was in a desperate battle with a force that was robbing humanity of it's humanity and there was no sense mincing words about the consequences. He would have hated the Nazis. They were everything he despised about the regressive nature of humanity. The were devoid of all hope and their perverse use of the philosophy would have sickened him. This is a book that is still very valid and vital to the health of humanity. It should be read and reread.

A very good and dense book. I don't know if it was the prose, the translation, or the age of language in the text, but I found myself reading a few passages multiple times to really understand it. But all-and-all, a great read.People have spent decades writing long explanations and commentary on the book, so I'll simply say that much of it I could relate to my own challenges and experiences in life and that its message resonated with me.

This is a good, straightforward and fairly literal translation, with helpful notes -- not too many, but useful. I much prefer it to the work of Walter Kaufmann which has for a long time been standard fare for university reading. Walter was better than the Nazified edition with the author's sister to speak for him. But there is a great deal of self-important nonsense by Mr. Kaufmann in his edition. Here we have a fine translation that may well become the new university standard, at least it is for me.

I believe Nietzsche saw his "Zarathurstra" as his magnum opus, the artistic-expressive summary of his beliefs.It is a wonderful book, and anyone who has read his other works will find that "Zarathustra" really does synthesize and summarize those other works.The challenge with "Zarathustra" and Nietzsche's other works, is the depth and breadth of his experience and scholarship. The more I read his works, the more I realize I miss...and to some degree must miss! I have a limited background in Classical studies, but not to the extent Nietzsche did. As another for-instance - I do not speak or read French or Italian, and so I can only analytically understand Nietzsche's statements about the cadences of those languages, and their connection to their local habitats, and the way they both reflect and influence their speakers' demeanors. Oh well! Something to shoot for, for me, I guess, to learn Spanish and French....and, German?!This is a very good translation with good end-notes. There are some references I think the translator missed, but that's ok.

Nietzche dances along the edge of schizophrenia, which a Horrobin has noted is HUMAN WRIT LARGE.There is nothing exceptional in normalcy, by definition, therefore only madmen can be geniuses.I Am well acquainted with schizophrenia, and Nietzche's work offers an insight into their intense inner world.He was spurned by the sane, not for loving too little, but for loving too intensely.You will wait in vain for the promised superman to emerge, for this is a story of his gestation, not his birth. We await his birth wondering who he is; and what his nature.Perhaps this is an overhang from Nietzche's monotheists past, with all their talk of "The Return of the Messiah"Us Vanatru, one the other hand, have our Sacred and eternal Wheel of Life.

Although the recipes are simple to follow, I was disappointed that the pictures are not color as in preview ("Look Inside"). They are black and white! I am returning the book.

Enjoyed this little cookbook. The recipes are easy and with no hard to find ingredients.. The foods flavors are very good. It's fun making and trying new recipes and serving them to your family. .

Korean cuisine is rich in seasonings and spices. I love it! The book contains tasty recipes and new cooking ideas. Everything I have made has been delicious. I made the BBQ Chicken tonight and it came out perfect. Can't wait to try other recipes.

Good book! I enjoyed the recipes and I think the added information about Korean food culture was very helpful. I was disappointed about the quality of the pictures in the book.

What a wonderful cookbook! Not only that you get great recipes, especially the meat recipes (well I'm a fan of meat), there are also nutritional values alongside each recipe, which is extremely helpfull when you're a bodybuilder like me. If you're new to Korean culinary than this is the book for you :)

The brilliance of this book is that it has 18 expert contributors . Each contributor has written at least one in-depth and thoroughly researched essay.I like the fact that a fair amount of personal research has been carried out by the contributors - whether by personal interview or time spent within rastafari communities. I must say I have gleaned a lot of information from this book that to date I have not found elsewhere.For example, The Globalisation of Rastafari chapter comprises of 4 detailed essays: The Rastafari prescence in Ethiopia; Water development projects and Cultural Citizenship; Rastafari in New Zealand; Rastafari Fundamentalism in Salvador, Brazil.Very informative. This opened my eyes to how rasta communities have fared across the various continents, as well as how they are perceived by local populations and the various dynamics involved.The chapter on Gender Considerations in the Rastafari Movement comprises 3 compelling essays: The Woman in Rastafari; Reasonings on Gender Relations in Rastafari; Cultural Ideology and Rastafari Women.Again, very informative and thorough. I learnt a lot.The chapter on Rastafari and Reggae comprises 3 very insightful essays:Kumina, the Howellite Church, and the Emergence of Rastafarian Traditional Music in Jamaica; From Wareika Hill to Zimbabwe - exploring the role of rastafari in popularising reggae music; A focus on Sizzla Kalonji - a leading influence on a new genearation of Rastafari youth.Essential reading for anyone who wishes to explore the (often under-reported) connection between rastafari and reggae.The contributors between them cover a very broad and diverse range of information. I like how the book encapsulates rastafari from a multitude of perspectives -cultural, ideological, religious, political etc - from the early days right through to contemporary times.I imagine this book would be an invaluable guide to anyone involved in the study of Rastafarianism.I highly recommed this book if you have an interest in the subject of Rastafarianism, or if you have an academic involvement. Essential!!
