Loved the book and it is even better to hear the late John O'Donahue read it. Was doing long, dark commutes on a bus/ferry as Fall was ending and moving into Winter in the Pacific Northwest. Had been through some painful to the extreme loss and other subject matter in reading/listening wouldn't have done what this work has for my spirit!

Anam Cara has made a wonderful gift for friends and family. The response has always been a big thank you and a remark of wish I had this sooner. Do yourself a great favor and add John O'Donohue's Anam Cara to your library.

Listening to John O'Donohue is sheer pleasure. He would sound wonderful reading the phone directory aloud; so actually relating the insides of his written book, Anam Cara, verbally is a beautiful experience. I was especially delighted that I was able to purchase the cd's at a reduced price. I have listened to this series several times and they become more and more imbedded in my mind each time I listen. There are pieces of poetry throughout and snippets of Celtic music. Delightful. And a fun surprise was the small flyer inside from the company that produced it: Sound True. Great website!

A member of my family just died and I would say the most important way I came to see this was through the eyes of John O'Donohue, particularly in Anam Cara. In a quiet way he has been one of the great spiritual voices at the end of the 20th century.

Everyone should become acquainted with the works of John O'Donohue. He is the most simple but gentle teacher and intriguing story teller and like a Life Coach of sorts. I have listened to most of his works several times. He is one of my favorite poets/authors. I usually like to listen to the CD's several times in a row and then every few months to refresh my memory.A person could never get bored or tired of hearing his timeless message. Joy

This is a British published book by an Irish author, recently deceased. The British bookseller described it as in "Good" shape and that I would recieve it in 2 weeks or so.Well, I recieved it in 6 days and it looked like it had never been opened. This is service and quality way above and beyond average,I am extremely pleased.

I wouldn't buy this brand again. Very thin pages so when you write on it, it leaves print on the next month. Dollar store has a better quality calendar.

This calendar has cute graphics and nice sized squares for entering info but the paper is flimsy. I anticipate this falling apart by the end of the year. So, not bad but I wouohave purchased this if I had seen it in a store.

This calendar is made of quality paper and is a piece of art on the wall. I will continue buying this brand from this artist.

I highly recommend the Kindle/e-book version because you can take advantage of the instant cross-referencing of terms. Barr-avo!

Extremely pleased with this purchase. It turns out, you can use it to tremendously enhance your studies on the English language, whether writing Academic papers or not. I intend to get back to my studies here in the US soon and it's definitely comforting to know I can count on such rich material to help me out. A thousand kudos to Luiz Otavio, as always!

I purchased this book because I thought it might be useful for my ESL and writing tutees. It far exceeds my expectations. This academic phrasebook is useful for native English writers and ESL writers alike at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Even experienced research writers will find it useful. For instance, my favorite chapter, "Chapter 6 Referencing," gives 43 ways to introduce in-text references. So if you are tired of saying, "According to . . ." and "X reports that . . . ," this book is well worth the price.

Basically, I have no words to express how good and useful this book is. It seeks to shed light on how to better write dissertations, essays etc, by providing the user with chunks they might not even imagine themselves using. I believe it is somewhat hard for one to easily come up with such phrases as "The theoretical framework underpinning this study is..." or "A number of studies have shown that... . However, important questions regarding N remains unanswered." In my humble opinion, these are beautiful and interesting phrases for an assignment, to say the least. I highly recommend this book for anyone preparing their final academic papers and for language teachers as well.

Seems to be written for beginning undergraduate students who have not been exposed to reading professional articles. It is also written as a fill-in-the-blanks kind of training that includes spelling and grammar. Not for the advanced student.

This book is a must-have if you want to upgrade your academic writing and express yourself more effectively.The grammar and vocabulary tips are relevant and comprehensive.Finding the right words and phrases won't take a lot of time anymore- they're all here in one book!

This has been a great resource for me as a doctoral student. I imagine it will be helpful for other student researchers who want to become more comfortable with their topic. It has helped me feel more confident when talking about my subject among peers. This is a great tool for students at several different levels, from applicants to PhD programs, first and second-year doc students who are defining their dissertations, and early career researchers who are applying for funding! Really a great resource for those days when you hit a wall with your writing!

Excellent resource. I bought it to write my dissertation. I highly recommend it for all in grad school.Great book for writing PhD thesis.

I thought it would be more - but honestly it was a lot of fluff. The Jist was fast... 16 hours no food, 8 hours healthy food choices... do that for 5-7 days to kick start, then maintain with either, 12 hours fast/12 hours eat healthy, or 14 hours fast/ 10 hours refuel (eat)... I obviously didn't read ever page - I received the book yesterday... but I skimmed through and it didn't take long b/c its very basic. I wasn't impressed - save $$ and gets tips from Google! Sorry Dubrows - but stick to surgery and Bravo and you'll do fine!

So much information available on this subject. Read the Obesity Code by Dr. Jason Fung â€” and definitely watch his YouTube videos. He knows his stuff â€” youâ€™ll thank me!

there are many excellent books on "interval eating." disapointed in Dr. Phil as the end of many shows are informercials for his family and friends.

Waste of paper and ink. Same old 6-7. Fast. Eat. Fast.

Do not waste your money. This is a rip off of Jason Fung's book on intermittent fasting. Read that instead.It's much better. If you are curious about this book go to Barnes and Noble and thumb through it for 15 minutes. That's all you need. No reason to waste money on this.

This is intermittent fasting. Period. They simply call it â€œinterval eatingâ€ save your $$

I think Dubrow is a great doctor and a great guy, but you canâ€™t just slap your name on literally the hottest diet trend for the last two years, and make it your ownâ€¦ Itâ€™s called intermittent fasting.

I purchased this book, received yesterday and read quickly. The bad reviews are completely unfair. I've been doing intermittent fasting based on YouTube videos since 10/1/18 and it works! I was looking for a book to breakdown some of the details and this book did exactly that. I would have liked to see more information on longer fasts because dieters can increase the fasting window and eat more liberally. I've been eating a lot of healthy food; organic vegetables, grass-fed meat, wild fish, sauerkraut for gut and tubers. I'm losing 3 lbs a week on average, more the 1st week (water weight). You can increase the fast, not exercise a ton (I walk every other day and do a very little resistance training) and eat yummy desserts or snacks during your feeding window. I love this way of eating. Do not feel like I'm dieting and the pounds are coming off. I eat huge meals on the weekend! But again, my fasting window is longer, usually 20 to 22 hours. I started with 16 hours and didn't eat if I wasn't hungry which lead me to longer fasting windows. I believe I can easily eat this way for the rest of my life. Thanks for the book, I truly enjoyed it.
