Learned so many useful skills.The first part of the book about NLP I found really easy to understand but really complicated to apply successfully, but once I managed to make it work it has been amazing: it condition myself successfully out of stress, and also out of eating some unhealthy foodsThe second part about life planning was insane: Made me sit down and get a really solid life plan. In 2 months I lost over 15 pounds, have been consistent in the gym, eating healthy, made new social circles and meaningful relationships, and a lot of things to come in the next 10 yeears
I was initially skeptical of this book when I downloaded it. I generally don't like self help and think it to be mostly fluff when it needs to be substance.I was wrong.Sure, there are stories in here you can skim over when you are tired and still get the gist of the book. But much of the value of this book and the good self help out there is to put into words and reinforce things you already kind of knew, but needed to have said to you. NLP seems kitschy at first but has some usefulness. Modeling seems intuitive but so few people do it. Knowing you actually need to act is something many people say they understand, but very few actually carry out.I picked up this book during a particularly tumultuous month in my life and am glad I did so. It was one of the little reminders I needed that some people have life happen to them and some people happen to life. I would recommend picking this book up.
Tony is the champ of motivation. In this book he gives specific tricks and steps for you to take to truly make marked positive changes to your life overnight. Medical science has shown that positive thinking really does cause positive chemical changes in your body. Force a smile if you must, but that smile just caused a positive reaction to your body. Continue it and the many other ways he shows you in this book and you'll live a more fulfilling and happier life. Tony has put out many books. I have not read those. But this one even though it is copyrighted back in 1986 is as true today as it was discovered back then. A must have book for someone looking to get more motivated, get that extra push, or receive a step by step instruction on taking your own personal steps towards eliminating the years of depressing thoughts and turning them into a new beginning of positive living. The book is much better, this is an abridged version with excerpts from a seminar. The content of what you get is not bad, but you are only getting 50 MINUTES OF AUDIO. I will be returning.
Tony is a great help and author. He truly gives you the tools to make necessary changes. This is not about inspiration it is not about sweet talking or motivating. Is about how your body and brain works. Not only that but !after those aspects and be able to use it to make massive changes in any area of your life. If you buy this book act on its teachings and you will discover the immeasurable value of holds for your life.Give it a try and you won't be disappointed at all, this is the single best book I've ever read and it's certainly a handbook in a daily basis.
Great book. However this edition was not what I was expecting. A more mass-market edition than the expectation. I wish they would get the pictures correct. Amazon is getting worse and worse at delivery and in trusting what your purchase is. Sometimes you don't even get new product when you buy new. It's a shame.Anyway - classic, great book. Rather disappointing print edition
I have read tony's stuff for years. He starts slow, but towards chapter 5 he gives you some good techniques for positive change. Dont stop after the first four chapters. Keep digging to find the gold

I saw this book on my sister's coffee table, and the title intrigued me. It had just been published. I picked up and it grabbed me by the throat. I couldn't put it down. I used every piece of information I could sink my teeth into, and applied all the principles that he talks about in the book. In 1988 I made Over $200,000. Mind you , this was 30 years ago, and in today's dollars, that was a fortune! It changed my life completely. Recently I hit a rut, and am reading the book again, probably for the fourth or fifth time. The words and ideas are timeless. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for personal and financial growth.
