It's a coloring book. Half the pages are black and white so you can "color them yourself!". It is just regular weight paper and even the colored prints are dull. You'd be better off printing origami paper with a laser printer on copy paper, the paper would be the same and the print quality would be better. I'm a little nuts, my crazy causes me to amass huge quantities of paper for my origami addiction and fold teabags in restaurants, I'm not usuallly picky about my paper, I just like to fold...but this garbage seriously offended me. If you want an ugly, overpriced coloring book with multiple copies of the same page to color and half the pages colored in badly in advance, this is the product for you! If you're actually looking for origami paper and think "hey, it's cheap, I'll give it a try" you will be very sad.
TL: DR- poor quality paper, poor print quality, the paper has an unclean/shredded edge when removed from book, and copied patterns from other companies.First, these are not individual papers, they are patterns on pages in a book. It seems there was an attempt to perforate the pages to make them tear out easier, but for reference on how they tear out, please see the attached images.Second, the paper is quite thick and not that suitable for origami.Third, I just got back from Asia and brought back a few packs of origami paper. The papers I got are sold by Daiso Japan. Some of the patterns in Japanese Origami Paper Pack are direct copies from Daiso; however, the patterns are credited to "Depositphotos" and "Shutterstock".Given all this, I am rating this 1 star and returning this product.
The 250 origami sheets are *bound* / glued into book form. We were expecting 250 loose sheets like origami paper has been always done in Japan. A book of origami is like receiving a deck of playing cards in tear-out book form.As you might expect, individual origami pages are often impossible tear out cleanly. You can't do origami without clean edges all around!
Like other reviewers have already mentioned these pages are nearly impossible to remove from the bound book without tearing and even when you do they aren't a perfect square. I tried several tricks to getting them out neatly and nothing worked.If you're looking to actually do origami then I highly suggest you pass on this. It's not worth the frustration. If you're looking for patterned paper that you doesn't need clean edges then the paper is thicker than typical origami with some nice patterns. It's really only origami users that will find the paper useless.
For those people who actually have experience in Origami, you'll hate this product. The patterns are good, the quality of paper is good. But this is a "book" and one side is glued like a book and you won't be able to separate them without damaging the papers. Origami requires the perfect square, the glue messes it up. This is something made by a person(s) who has no experience. Disappointed.
I received this paper pack promptly and have been so pleased with it! It came in excellent condition and the paper is wonderful. There are a bunch of different beautiful and colourful options. I don't think they tear out of the book so easily, but that could honestly be operator error.I've been very pleased and impressed with this.
I am so disappointed! The patterns are lovely but the paper is bound into a book and there is no easy way to get it out! I have to cut it out with my pocket knife! They aren't perforated or anything. And then, once you do get them out of the book, the pages aren't actually Square, which means you have to trim them before you can fold anything as nearly all origami patterns require a square paper. And finally, the paper is very thick and difficult to fold and work with. I do not at all recommend this!
Very cool prints. More pages than I imagined and in a bound book. Perforations would be nice since tearing out pages comes out weird. And I don’t love the coloring pages but the color prints are beautiful and I would recommend this. I used it for some pottery I make with mixed media paper fabric and paint with an acrylic cure. It kept its color even through the glazing and minimal lift of the ink even when wet.
